Mermaid Swimming at Gay Swim Amsterdam
Since the first mermaid clinic in 2023 and the spectacular demonstration during LoveSwim 2025, one thing has become clear: within our association, the love for mermaid swimming thrives! More and more members have expressed their desire to engage in this more often - whether it’s for recreational fun, creative expression, or sports challenge.
Graceful, strong & spectacular
The clinic consists of six training sessions per year, organized by, where participants learn to move elegantly and powerfully through the water with a mermaid tail. Additionally, GSA offers its own extra swimming hours monthly or bi-monthly for members who want to practice further or swim together.
In the lead-up to LoveSwim 2026, three to four half pools will also be reserved for training together for a new mermaid show. This spectacular performance will have, with World Pride in mind, an even larger and international appeal!
